Posters of great paintings well framed or original works by not so hot artists? Which shoould I use in my house?

    I would personally rather look at a well framed copy of a Monet, than a bad original. You are the one who has to see them though, I can't speak for your tastes.

    Edit: And I like to take this opportunity to thank the little coward who gave me the impotent little -1 rating for an opinion question. I'll be seeing you, count on it.

    • Since I can't tell good art from bad art, I'd probably go with well framed copies of not-so-hot artists. It's all about the frame!

    • A decorator filled my living room with junk that might be produced in factories and it broke my heart. I returned it all. Your remark about framing is right, though. The framing was impriessive but every "painting" was boring and very hard to look at a second or third time. I intend to re-frame the posters or prints and spend more money on the frame than the posters. The posters are great and never bore. right now I have two Picassos, a Renoir, and Sleeping Gypsy, by Henri Rousseu.
