Sometimes my 1985 Bronco ll's engine revs will increase for no apparent reason. Why might this happen?

    if the spring is TOO TIGHT then that might be the case (re: ^^^^^^)

    But the revs INCREASE sooo it could be the transmission slipping. check the trans fluid, if it isn't that then i don't know. But 9 times out of ten its the transmission. Fords are notorious for having faulty transmissions. all three of my dad's Fords are K.O.'ed because of the trans.
