After taking a drug test, can I be denied a job based on the existence of Demerol and Oxycodone in my system?

• To respond to your rather rude answer: I asked the technician at the UA lab if there was a place to document perscriptions that I was currently taking and was told "no". I later found out that there was indeed a form, the worker was unaware of becuase she was new to the job. I think jumping to conclusions (by implying that I was attempting to be dishonest and that the medication I take is not legal) is rude, inconsiderate and hurtful to someone like my self. I am currently batteling Leukemia which is not only life threatening but rather painful! I hope YOU never have to experience what I currently am experiencing.

• I was not being rude, You are the one that ask the question and I was only stating the fact that if you are on the drug with a legal script you have no worries. By law you can not be denied a job because you are on pain meds that have been prescribed to you.
  Sorry if you took that as being rude.
