If you're talking about the bowing or genuflecting that a Catholic does before entering the pew, that is to show respect that you're entering God's House. Otherwise, most Catholics, once they've entered their pew, will kneel and pray before the service begins.

    • I don't say a specific prayer. I usually take the time to pray for the souls of relatives that have died or for any guidance that I am in need of.

    • There's no specific prayer. I usually just pray for those I know who need help, or for guidance, or for just the ability to destress for a little while and get something out of the service. If my mind is racing, as it usually is, and I can't focus, I just pray the Lord's prayer.
