    Captain Birdseye

My name is Chris and my neighbour called me Chris for about 3 weeks when I first moved into my flat.

One morning we saw each other as I was going to work and she called me Colin. I looked around and saw there was no- one else around and I thought- 'I know she's talking to me, She knows she's talking to me.'

'Good morning Helen' I replied. She has proceeded to call me Colin for about 3 years now, and as long as we both know she's referring to me, I don't see what the problem is.

So no, I wouldn't mind if someone spelled my name wrong, as long as we both know it's me being referred to.

I also take a perverse satisfaction in the knowledge that one day, sooner or later, I'll have to tell this poor woman she's been calling me the wrong name for 3 years.
