The Gameboy Advance SP is smaller and more light weight than the original. It comes with a backlight that can be turned on and off during gameplay. However, unlike the the original, the SP has no headphone jack, and the SP doesn't take batteries. The SP has a tiny chip in it that can be charged. There are many different kinds of chargers, like ones that hook up into a computer or wall jack. My favorite charger hooks up into the cigarrette lighter in your car, so you can play and charge at the same time. The charger moves faster than gameplay, meaning that if you play and charge at the same time, you will slowly gain power. Also, the SP works like a laptop and the screen can flip up and down. I reccomend the Gameboy Advance, not the SP, because of three things:
    1. The Gameboy Advance costs less than the Gameboy Advance SP.
    2. The Gameboy Advance can charge and use batteries.
    3. The Gameboy Advance has a headphone jack.
Of course, the SP is great, too, it is light weight, more portable than the original, and looks awsome. I even had my SP tatooed.
