In most areas it is illegal to drive a vehicle while wearing headphones. My father had an issue with this in Denver and tried to have the law amended but it was a no-go. Apparently "they" seem to think that if you have headphones on that all sounds such as emergency vehicles and horns honking will be blocked out and that you'll become a hazard by not hearing these things. ...But wait "they" let people who are def or with hearing problems drive. What's next?: hearing tests for drivers licenses.
"When headphones are outlawed only outlaws wear headphones..."They" can stick it in their ear!"

    • Besides, what do "they" really know anyhow? And who exactly are THEY?

    • The editorial is idiotic but the information is correct.

    • And the danger is real: I've ridden with deaf-mute friends and once had to start frantically pointing at the fire engine.

    • If headphones are a hazard, then loud car stereos should also be a hazard... NOT!

    • Music can be distracting, the people with hearing problems are not distracted by their lack of hearing.

    • Sadly your wrong in one thing, yes there are some people that have hearing problems, but not compared to the amount of people that would listen to ear buds in the car without being afraid of getting in trouble... It would become, my stereo broke should i pay 200 for a new one or buy an iPod for everything use... That would also hurt the car industry because people would opt out of getting the fancy stereo they would get the shitty one and leave the rest of the money for iPods... Thing would cause a great loss in the market of car stereos and raise the already hugely growing apple company into a flurry of sales... This might also cause iPhone sales to go up and more money to AT&T and Verizon because people would out of the money for sires and other premium radio channels to get the data plans for iPhone through there company which again would hurt the car industry and help apple company.
