Universal donor O can give their blood too anyone and only recieve O blood, so the O blood can be passed to the offspring without fear of Coagulation. Type A can recieve both A and O blood, no other types or Coagulation will occure. So consider that when the featus is being formed. It will adopt either O or A blood type, without a DEFINATE way to know 100% until the baby is born and the blood test is done to see what the baby has for its blood type.
