Help answer this question below.

For those people who ask why straight women like being friends w/gay men. It's because when I say to my gay friend that he's gorgeous, he knows it's not a come on. Straight men always think it's a come on & not just friendly. WHY?

    In general, straight guys relate to their friends differently than straight women. While women will compliment each other, men usually put each other down and try to outdo each other with insults. It's how they are accustomed to relating to friends.
    When was the last time you heard two guys greet each other with "hey, what a lovely sweater you have on today!" or something of that sort?

    • The Korean, Japanese, Italian and other guys do compliment each other.
      Maybe it's just the "macho-man syndrome" American guys have that make them so low... really fucked up, lol.
