i have tried every combination i can think of- F1, F2, F3 etc. in order to get to bios in compaq presario xp- any other ideas? thanx

My hp mini 5102 shut off by it self and now it won't turn back on. did i get a virus or something?

PC won't open to Vista. 1 was,"Bootpath Error code:BIOHD-2" Reboot twice more, 2 was, "Testing Drive Error code:BIOHD-8. Help Please.

Good luck with that!
Macs may be a little more vulnerable because they lack one thing that Linux has; vast armies of hyper-vigilant code-ninjas working around the clock to patch everything and anything. Open source allows quick fixes and there are too many competent white-hats.
I'm not saying Linux is immune, but it sure as hell won't be easy. The code for Linux is just too tight for that sort of hijinks and Mac OS X, being based on BSD, isn't much easier.
Besides, the hard part isn't writing the virus; it's making sure it lives long enough to spread.
