Pretty much anything they really wanted me to eat seemed like the grossest thing to me, but I'd have to say tomatoes, I couldn't stand them then however I have developed a taste for them since. As far as being cruel and unusual, my parents understood I had likes and dislikes and didn't force them upon me too often, so no.

Also funny story, I was probably about 10, and my family was in the French Quarter in New Orleans having lunch at the famous Cafe Maspero, and my mom offered me $20 to eat the little baby tamato that came in her salad. As soon as I bit into it I started gagging, ran to the bathroom, and threw up. So I wasn't a fan.

    • I had a tomatoe thing too. I didn't get how adults could even eat the things. Now I loooooooove tomatoes, like you. I think some foods are just intended for adults.
