Do the outside edges of the Foul Lines in Baseball line up with the outside edges of 1B and 3B, thus going "over" the base? Or, are they supposed to go along side the outside edge of the bases? I have seen it both ways many places. Which is correct?

The rules of baseball say that a pitcher shall take his signs while in contact with the pitcher's plate. is there a penalty if the pitcher does not do this, but takes the sign from the catcher before contacting the plate and going into the set position?

I though H.S. teams play 9 innings, unless they have a double header in which then they would play two 7 inning games for a total of 14 innings. This was done to eliminate over-lengthy games so the students could get their work completed. Not sure though
