Why do guys always like girls more than girls like guys?

    Warning: This answer is probably not helpful and it might annoy you. Otherwise, it will do until a better answer comes along. Sorry ;)

    It takes a hell of alot of effort to bring up a child. To compensate for this, nature makes women desperate to have babies and men desperate to have sex. If this wasn't the case, we'd now be extinct. But if this was all then we'd be too busy having sex to get on with the rest of our lives. So nature made us picky. There is a big long string of a boy in love with a girl who is in love with a different boy who is in love with a different girl who is in love with a different boy ... and so even though every one is desperate they all miss out until through some freak of nature, a girl and boy fall in love with each other.

    What makes it worse is that if you appear desperate then you immediately look unattractive to the opposite sex! How stuffed up is that! Your only hope is to ignore your desperation and concentrate on just having a fun time. When you are genuinely happy and having fun, everyone wants to get in on the action. Your confidence makes you look like you own the world and then every girl will want to have your baby. Trouble is, if the world you rule is something where you are all alone (eg computer programming), how will anyone share in the excitement (and of course, programming is not a good spectator sport! In fact, I can't even imagine body building being fun to watch. People love the results but not watching you work!)

    Learn to dance. At the very least, you get to hold a woman. If you get good at dancing then they will want to hold you. It's a start, and definitely better than what you're getting now. Be patient. Pretend you're not desperate. Concentrate on having fun.
