When you get a tune stuck in your head, are the words significant? For example, when I had a major decision to make, I kept experiencing the song "Let it Be." It might have been a communication from my Unconscious.

Freud would say so indeed but he is far back in the 20's anyways and many people say his level of inference is far too high to be believable.

I'd say that this song is tied to a feeling/memory of calm for you, that might just soothe your spirit. It might just be your mind trying to relax in these high stress situations. Music is tightly associated to emotions, and it might just be a balance that is trying to be created by your mind to help you go thru these intense moments.

Someone who would need a feeling of power might hum a different tune, you never know!
