Who were the Buffalo Soldiers?

    Buffalo Soldiers were black soldiers who fought in campaigns against Native Americans beginning in the late 1860s. Although they were segregated from white soldiers and often faced discrimination, Buffalo Soldier, gained a reputation for bravery in battle. They were called buffalo soldiers because their dark hair look like the fur on a buffalo.
