Question

Help answer this question below.

My 6 month-old coughs to the point of throwing up, and sounds like he's losing his voice. The doctor gave him an inhaler, but that doesn't seem to work. Are there any home remedies for this?

Sorry I tried to write a sidenote for the previous answer but I clicked submit to soon. What I was going to say was, please don't feed your baby any honey, even though it does have many benefits, until after a year old. The concern is with Infant Botulism and it is very serious and can result in death. Avoiding raw honey is the simple solution. You can read more about this at http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/baby/babyfeeding/9195.html along with other foods to avoid. About your child, I would suggest taking him to another doctor for a second opinion. I would be concerned about why he coughs so much and so tremendously. It seems bothersome. Good luck.
