Depending on what is causing the pain, I've found that Infant Mylicon drops (for gas), or the equivalent of, works really well. Just follow the directions carefully on the label of the medicine. Infant Tylenol can help with any pain symptoms as well. I hear Infant Motrin (for 6 mos. and up) can actually provoke tummy aches. A luke warm bath might also help relieve discomfort. If it is very serious, and/or persists for more than 24 hours I would take him/her to a doctor and get their opinion. And of course, always listen to your instincts above all else.
