I just made my first preloader in Flash. Is there a way to test it where it won't load instantly.

When you hit Ctrl+Enter to preview the animation/game etc, go to View > Download Settings > choose a bandwidth option. Then go to View > Simulate Download. And your good to go.

    • I can't find download settings or simulate download. Is this for Flash MX, sorry I forgot to specify that in the question.

    • That was in Flash MX 2004 that I did that. I checked a version of Flash MX on a different computer, and the way to do it in that program is View > Show Streaming (while previewing the file). I can't find any way to simulate the bandwidth, so I'm assuming it will be defaulted to how a 56k modem would download it.

    • OK, thanks. I've tested it now and it works.
