If you could pick one thing to give an alien race to represent all of humanity, what would it be and why?

    I'm in a cynical mood. I'd give them the biggest nuclear device I could find. It would represent the violence that has been associated with humanity throughout its entire history, and the added bonus is that we get to blow them up and conquer their home planet, thereby perpetuating the violence by which we have achieved everything else.
