The "Wuss-afaction" of which you speak is causing this kind of thing to become more acceptable in plain view of everyone! Yes, the child does have to eat, but there are areas in many public places where this can be handled in a much more discrete fashion.

It is not random at all. Anything less is, in my opinion, discrete. She is not seeking your attention or scrutiny. This is why I ask you YOUR definition of discrete, as it is highly subjective.
