Help answer this question below.

1981 corvette---battery discharge light is on and gauge needle shows discharge. alternater and battery both show good when bench checked but will not work when installed. help ! Where do I start and what do I look for.

After making sure that these components are the correct ones for your car you need to check the other parts in the circuit including the wiring, ignition switch & regulator. Also, AC Delco has a toll free help line to call.
