Is it true that everyone gets "A"s in grad school, and if you get an A- you're really doing something wrong?

    Maybe at some grad schools. But not at mine. I did find in general that just showing up to every one of my classes in undergrad as well in grad school pretty much guaranteed me a B. A's have to be earned. I got a C in one class in grad school. You've been misinformed.

    • I don't know where you went to school, but at my school, you did the work well or you flunked.

    • You seemed to have lucked out. As most Universities,
      won't let you get away with just showing up. Not only are you expected to qualify for the dissertation via qualifying papers that passed a B+ min, but you are expected to contribute in seminars by giving lectures on a preselected topic by your tutor, as well.
