Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a lot of pictures on my computer and no place else. I'm afraid of my hard drive crashing or something horrible to make them all disappear forever! What can I do? There are way too many to burn them, it would take hours. Thanks!!

There are many ways to backup, but I would recommend 2 of them:

-Burn DVDs, which with a 4x unit is not as slow as people may think and you can burn batches of 4.5 Gb on each one (which for pictures is a lot).

-Buy an External USB Hard Drive, which is very fast and for example a 250 Gb drive is now around $100. You will backup all in one step at USB 2.0 speed (not slow at all).

The 2nd option is the best if you are thinking about saving time, and ease of use, because is like having another hard disk, but you can move to wherever you want.

    • I agree. Just want to add that the external HDD can fail, so my vote would be for DVD storage. But both options are great.
