Help answer this question below.

My belly button looks nasty and crusty! was done about a month ago, and is cleaned daily. Is it growing out?? is my body rejecting it? should i take it out completely and give up? b/c it seems to not be getting better at all. Please help! =(

    I don't know if you body is rejecting it or not. Is it red, hot and a bit swollen? If it is, it is infected. How do you clean it? I was told to use Dial antibacterial soap (the orange stuff-no perfume) to clean mine everyday and it healed great. This was the 2nd time I'd had it done, though. The first time the guy (different one) told me to use baciguent(sp?) ointment (like Bactroban) and it didn't work at all! Was it done by a reputable piercer in a sterilized environment?

    • It isnt red or hot but does look a bit swollen. I clean it with dove in the shower and claires piercing aftercare at night. It is really dried out it seems, its not pussy or anything but is tender and teh skin is really dry around the area. I just bought H2Ocean after care spray that is supposed to work great, what do you think? thanks for your help!

    • I'm not familiar with H20cean stuff, but I do think you should be using a non-perfumed anti-bacterial soap daily. It's more difficult to clean in the begining because you have to get the soap all the way through the pierced hole. The jewelery is to be working up and down so that the soap can get in and clean the inside, and then so that it can be rinsed out.
      Maybe you aren't getting all the soap rinsed out properly? That could be it.
      Try using the orange Dial for a few days and let me know how it works. Good luck to you!
