    The answer to this question is a matter of opinion. Eminent 20th century philosopher Bertrand Russell once opined that no two philosophers would give the same answer.

    My (admittedly amateur) view? Philosophy is the critical study of significant abstractions including, but not limited to, reality, truth, reasoning, knowledge, and values.
