Can I count on Wikipedia as a reliable source?

    It's probably pointless to use wikipedia by itself. But it's okay to use the sources wikipedia cites, and wikipedia can lead you to those sources. If an article is unsourced, don't use it. This should make no difference to high school teachers, and they wouldn't know anyway. And it might shorten the work load.

    I would caution against using wikipedia for sources that have to do with political ideology, religion, and any other potentially controversial subject - perhaps even philosophy. The site is run by Objectivists, and has a heavy randroid bent that renders many expositions on these subject areas utterly unreliable if not outright dishonest.
