  • its normal
  • we are in charge of our lives. unfortuanately there is no on and off button to end life as we know it. entertaining thoughts of suicide helps you appreciate the life we have now. ending it and moving on to the next level could be premature. we have lessons to learn here before we move on. personally i would not want to scramble my brain cells in the process as i believe our soul resides in the electrical synapes in our brain. usually when we get old, we embrace death as the next step beyond.
  • For heavens sake John, I was just trying to be helpful tonight. I hope that I haven't depressed you too much. Thinking about it is pretty common, just don't act up on it. Remember, you have to get a date in the next few days to go to the comedy club with you. Don't want to waste two tickets to a funny show. http://www.watchtower.org/e/20011022/article_03.htm
  • No it's not, I think you need to seek professional help!
  • I never thought of it, I don't think anyone should keep on thinking about it. If a man had a dream of molesting a child and kept on thinking about it, what are the chances that he will molest a child? I would image that it would be more the those that don't think on it at all. Remember this, suicide is a permanant sollution to a temporay problem. Sorry that my spelling is bad.
  • I wish it were as popular as "thoughts of abortion"
  • its common with men. they attempt, and psychologically, they are usually suicide completers compared to women.
  • Only if you're a genius.
  • No, most definitely not. We all hit rough patches in life - I won't lie, there was one incident in which I was so miserable I thought about (THOUGHT, not necessarily really considered) the idea of suicide. But if a person consistently thinks about suicide, they should seek help ASAP.
  • It is common to have it, not to entertain it. It sounds like you need to talk to a live person who can listen in real time. Please do so - You are worth it: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK We all get town. We all need a hand from time to time. Let me know how you are doing tomorrow, please.
  • Almost everyone has had thoughts of suicide in their lifetime. It's whether you dwell on those thoughts continually or show signs of "acting out" a suicide that it becomes dangerous. "Acting out" includes a list of actual behaviors that show "warning signs" of suicidal action. "Ideation" is consistent thoughts due to depression; and the symptoms that go with it. Depression can be related to stress, life experiences, or of a biochemical imbalance. Don't let any label keep you from getting help. Just tell people THEY haven't been diagnosed yet. Please understand I cannot diagnose you.I have a degree in Psychology but I do not have all your information nor the credentials.
  • Well, alot depends on the night before, no?! ;-)
  • Having thought of suicide are normal. They are also dangerous. If you find yourself dwelling on them too much don't be afraid to reach out for help. There are a quite a number of resources you can call on. One note as you begin to get caught up in that downward spiral try to remember it will absolutely not matter how anyone reacts to your death because you will be dead. For you when you die time stops. No one will be able to tell you how much they were affected by your death because you will not be with them anymore.
  • Lol im certianly not normal but i do almost constanly entertain thoughts of suicide... I suffer from depression, if you are it is possible you are 2. I would tell you to go phone some suicide hotline... but they just play tacky music down the phone and tell you to wait... No just hang on anyway you can, it may not get easier but in some cases giving up is just not an option. Haha sorry if this didnt help.. just mi thoughts
