Get a pedometer, a stick about 5'' long, leash the dog, (if you have one) step out the front door and walk, just walk. The recommended number of steps per day are 10,000 to 15,000. No it isn't that many and you will be surprised at the amount of weight you will loose if you watch your diet. A mile is 3,000 to 4,000 steps.
