Definitely not what the parents of one of my high school teachers did: Ethylene and Edithdene. I think there are an awful lot of old names that have fallen out of use that are due for another look. When all the women who have a name are elderly, the name tends to stop being used for babies. But some of the old lady names from when I was a kid were actually pretty names. The women who carried them are gone thirty years and the names wouldn't be associated with old women anymore. While I don't think I would use Buelah or Bertha or Gertrude, Grace has already made a resurgence. Some other names from that generation are quite pretty too, like Pearl, Ruby, Abigail (Abby), Rose, Iris, Irene. Naomi has made a comeback, but Ruth doesn't seem to be coming with it, I think it is quite a pretty name. Madelyn has made a comeback, but Miriam is a pretty name too. Ava has come back, but Eva is a pretty name too. Look in your family tree, you might find quite a lot to mine there.

I adore the name Isla. Amelie is nice too, but it's quite popular now. I generally prefer names which are relatively rare, but don't sound made up.

I like names that seem "intertwined" for twins, like "Theodore" and "Dorthea" - in this case, it was a boy and girl and they were nicknamed "Teddy" and "Dorie". For girls, they could use "Theodora" and "Dorthea".

First of all congratulations on your twins. Had I been blessed with twins, the names I would have given them twin girls would have been Oriana Maria Victoria and Olivia Anneliese. Had I had boys they would have been Adrian and Julian so what about the names Adriana and Julia or Juliana for twins? Otherwise here are some female names I like that I feel go nicely together. Francesca Sara/h and Elizabeth Michaela Alexandria and Madeline Claire or Madeline Claire and Eliza Jaye Jordan or Jordana & Cameron Susannah and Veronica Susannah and Camilla AnnaLisa and Gianna or Gemma Annalisa and Francesca Alexandria and Victoria Stephanie and Rebecca Rachel and Bethany Meredith and Stephanie Shawna and Belle or Annabelle or Annabella Cheyenne and Tallulah Penelope and Helena Portia and Oriana and Octavia or Odessa Luna and Selene (pronounced as in Celene) Daisy and Lily Camilla and Clementine Valentina and Federica Chloe and Phoebe

I'd never have trouble, thinking of girls names, if I had babies. (But I don't have them, because I don't want to.) But I love pretty girly names like Alina, Michelle, Leanne, Laurel, Lily. (I have a thing for L names.) Gina. If I had little girls, I'd probably do an awful name and give them names like fairytale princesses. I shouldn't have a child. I AM a child!

You know whats really annoying? When people name there twins with similar names or names that start with the same letter. Its like the got creative with one name and got lazy with the other. I think they need very different names since they are very different people.

For a girl I love the name dalilah or darcy
