  • All the time, I think we all hide things. Some people more than others. And a lot of it can be just learning to be an adult in certain situations. Kids display their "bad" emotions while as we grow up, we learn that it isnt always appropriate to express them. I feel that I keep a lot of things to myself so I would say that I hide my emotions very frequently. Sometimes the smile is painted on but other times its quite real.... :))
  • I feel like this every morning after I wake up... My family and friends have nicknamed me "The Robot" because I simply show no emotion whatsoever. The smile is freshly painted on and then peeled off when I go to bed... it's pure habit.
  • yes. i hide all my emotions and cry it out later on. since i hate pity, i keep everything to my self.
  • All the time! But it's more that I don't want to bring others down and dwell on negative stuff. Sometimes if it makes you feel better just to grin and bare it. : ) Good question!
  • My emotions are worn my sleeve, but yes there are times when I try to hide, I just don't do it very well.
  • Sometimes...this is an emotionally hard week for me. I will be wearing my "happy face"--we do it to be strong for others. :( Usually though, I am a very happy person. :D
  • For me, actually a job *requirement*! ;-)
  • I find it VERY hard to do and people can read me good...but, try.
  • No, if I feel bad then I don't fake looking good. I try to just look neutral though. Otherwise, I'd feel as if I weren't being honest to myself.
  • Unfortunately I can't act on emotions. They come out of my face and very easily anyone can judge them!
  • I tend to wear my emotions on my sleeve. When I am sad, others know that I am.
  • I'm not very good at hiding my emotions; I usually wear them on my sleeve. I however, do have difficulty being angry. My upbringing taught me that anger was not good, but I have since learned that it is a healthy emotion to have in moderation. I do think that we oftern have to defer our emotions until a more appropriate time. You may have to pick your place and time to deal with it, but I do think it should be addressed. Bundled up emotions only causes the barer harm.
