  • Let's say the original sheet had a width W cm. It's length was 2W. After trimming, it's width is W-2 and length 2W-2. The perimeter is 2*(length + width) = = 2(W-2) + 2(2W-2) = 6W-8 If the perimeter is 1 meter = 100 cm, then 6W-8 = 100 6W = 108 W = 18 This makes the original width 20, which makes the orignal length 40, which makes the trimmed length 38 cm.
