  • a lot' to many for me.
  • Difficult to say. If there was no social stigma attached to sexual orientation, then perhaps we might get reliable figures. But from a lifetime of experience, I would say that there are many more bisexual people in society than we imagine. Bisexual including people who have felt sexual or emotional interest in someone of the same sex at some time in their lives. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to find that the majority of us were bisexual, with 100% heterosexual and 100% homosexual representing the extreme end of the spectrum.
  • The numbers that gay and lesbian organizations use is from 10 to 12 percent of the population.
  • %100 and i have no proof to back this up but i do know if you were to offer a straight man/woman a shit load of cash they'd make out with someone of the same sex :0
  • Science says that 4 - 6% of all men are gay and 2 - 3 % of all women are gay. This seems to be a constant figure, regardless which society and which time one looks at. (It is the same in the U. S. as well as in Iran, as well as in Jamaica, etc., etc.) Any civilized society must accept this fact and tolerate people with this sexual orientation. History has also shown that a tolerant society does not lead to an increase of this percentage, and neither does intolerance lead to a smaller percentage. The only difference is that in an intolerant society, gays and lesbians are having a more difficult life, and that is a shame.
  • I would say that of the live ones, 100% of them are in the world.
  • 10% in hearing society 20% amongst the death and dumb . Proof is there should be more but since it is oppressed many do not live their natural gay and lesbian lives . in adolescence 70% have one same sex experience . 50 % have two to five and 20 % multiple same sex experiences. well for me what ever the number it is never enough .
  • The more rigorous studies have shown different results within a range of 0.6 to 5.4 percent. These studies include Bell-Weinberg, 1970 (~2 percent); Billy-Battelle, 1993 (1.1 percent); Cameron-Ross, 1975-78 (~3 percent); Catania-NABS, 1992 (2 percent); FRI, 1983 (5.4 percent); MacDonald, 1988 (2 percent); NCHS, 1988-91 (3.5 percent); Schmidt, 1987 (0.6 percent); and Trocki, 1988-89 (3 percent). There are also other studies and reports that have influenced the popularly reported percentage. The popular estimate that 10 percent of the male population and 5 to 6 percent of the female population are exclusively or predominately gay/lesbian is based on the Kinsey Institute data published in 1948. Since then Kinsley has been widely debunked, as more than 55% of the men surveyed were either prisoners, sex offenders, or male prostitutes. Laumann and Associates (1994), using the national probability Health and Social Life Survey combined with data collected in the General Social Survey, found that 2.8 percent of men and 1.4 percent of women identified as gay or lesbian, while 7.7 percent of men and 7.5 percent of women reported homosexual desire. Michaels (1996) analyzed the limited available data and estimated that in the United States 9.8 percent of men and 5 percent of women report same-gender sexual behavior since puberty; 7.7 percent of men and 7.5 percent of women report same-gender desire; and 2.8 percent of men and 1.4 percent of women report homosexual or bisexual identity. An analysis of U.S. census data has provided the most solid evidence of the presence and certain social characteristics of lesbians and gays among the general population. In the 1990 census, gay and lesbian respondents could identify themselves as unmarried partners. Estimates from the 1990 census indicate that 1.63 percent of people aged 15 and older nationwide reported themselves as unmarried partners of the householder. Certain areas have higher percentages. In 2006 San Francisco reported the highest percentage of individuals identifying as gay, lesbian, or bisexual (15.9 percent). Seattle reported 12.9 percent. Higher percentages may sometimes be offered on the basis that homosexuality will not be acknowledged by all respondents because it carries a social stigma and the threat of persecution.
  • The question is not even if there are many or few. The question is actually are there on the increase or not and is this increase favoured. The possibility of that if does really exist makes easier to control the population levels and human behaviour through gradual elimination of atill overwhelming majority of socalled straight population. Females or female oriented humans are generally easier to control. Moreover the human breeding patterns still show signs of independence. Already most of population relies on aided childbirth. This is good but in contradiction to ancient tradition of indepenence. The conception is still independent on population, though can be controlled in some way already through contraception. The problem though is that the object must be willing or becomes necessarily aware of the manipulation. With removal of natural conception mechanisms from the active genome of human general population (turning them one-gender, gradually through promotion of homosexuality at first)can make the independent breeding of humans impossible, thus giving total control over population levels and genome of prospective artificially produced phoetuses.. Increase of complexity of human organizational structures demands delegating of more and more life oriented tasks to the system. Examples abound. Defence, commerce and legal problem mediation being the most obvious. It seems that even the most basic of human needs are being delegated which diminishes the selfdetermination of the individual beings even further. There is still another possibility. That is that through awareness and certain spiritual consciousness humans can retain certain amount of individual selfdetermination yet this is as complex issue as running the high developed society. Espescially now when people on Earth become more of a planetary society than tribal or even national. The Earth resources are not on increase yet population grows. We need to turn towards other celestial bodies and to other techniques and technologies to maintain the stability of human populace and favour true evolvement which promotes unbiased self fullfillment leading the Nations and People on Earth to harmonious life.
  • I cant count that high.
  • have no idea
