stretch a piece of cloth over the rim, hold it tight and turn the glass over..the liquid will stay inside of the glass :)
-
Cover the lid with a material that is water resistant, thus keeping the water within the glass.

Reverse the gravitational field, such that it points upward, rather than downward. How to do *that*, I really don't know.

Don't fill the glass to the rim. A piece of paper (thick) or coated cardboard will do the trick. Put it on top of the glass, hold it on, and turn it over. Let go (over a sink, just in case). The paper/cardboard should be held against the glass by the water surface tension. IF the glass is tipped, the paper/cardboard will slide off, breaking that tension and the water will spill out.

Spin it around and around really fast and when it is upside down for a second while spinning, the water will not fall out. Longer than that, you'll have to cover it like the others said.
