Read my long comment above it will give you the truth of 1 Cor. 6:9

Thinker, your comment does not hold water. It a twisted agenda so you can be able as yourself as a man to have sexual relationships with another man. in 1 Corinthians 6:9, the words men who have sex with men translate two Greek words that refer to the passive and active participants in homosexual acts.

Oh, but being a prostitute is OK. DOUBLE STANDARD!!!
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
OrangeD, being a prostitute was not okay in the Old Testament. Thanks to the New Testament, prostitutes can be forgiven.

Because you tried to cut and paste from another text editor. If its worth saying its worth keying.

1 Cor.6:9 has been misquoted and twisted by the church for so many years it is taken as truth. The words in Greek do not mean what the church desires them to say.

Thinker, 1 Corinthians 6:9 is not misquoted or twisted by any church. The passage indicates a list of sinners.
  • By definition a Christian is a follower of Christ. Jesus said to his followers in John 15:14 “ You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you.” Jesus commanded us to love God with our whole heart, soul and mind. (Mat. 22:39). To love God means to observe his commandments and his commandments are not burdensome according to 1 John 5:19. God commands us to abstain from sexual immorality. (Acts 15:29) So to answer your question, NO, a person who practices sexual immorality does not meet the requirements of a Christian servant of God.
  • Depends on your definition of gay. And Christian should be capitalized.
  • The Lord God said to love all others as yourself, Also to love others a I (Jesus) have loved you. Never did He make an acceptation as to sexual orientation. As for an LGBT being a Christian if they believe in the Lord Jesus and have Him as their Saviour they are Christian. In the entire Bible (KJV) homosexuality is spoken of only 5 times and each of those times was in relationship to sexual practices done in pagan worship. Additional studies also include pederasty. Homosexuality was not considered a sin until around 200 years ago as long as it was not used in pagan worship. True study of the Bible will reveal the truth of what the Bible says and not what society and the church want it to say.

Quote: "Never did He make an acceptation as to sexual orientation." Actually, homosexual and heterosexual conduct between 2 males include intercourse, fondling another person's genitals, and engaging in oral or anal sex. While Jesus disapproves homosexual marriage, His words are clear: Matthew 19:4-6 "He answered, Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh' 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate."

Homosexuality in no more a sexual perversion than blindness is a physical perversion. Having a few good homosexual friends would show you that in a heartbeat. The only problem in doing that is that it may prevent you from feeling superior to another group which is unacceptable.

OC Joe, quote: "Homosexuality in no more a sexual perversion than blindness is a physical perversion." Homosexuality is the expression of freedom of speech that includes the right to express one's sexual orientation and gender identity without hindrance, as well as the freedom to seek, receive and impart information on issues related to sexual orientation or gender identity. In the Old Testament, the Israelites had laws when a man lied with another man. (Leviticus 20:13) Throughout the New Testament, the Bible is clear, homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God by the statement Paul made in 1 Corinthians 6:9. As for feeling superior to another group, nowhere in my posts have I said a certain group is superior to another.
  • Jesus never taught on the topic.

I may suggest you brush-up the Bible. Homosexuality is defined by immorality. Mark 7:20-23 And He said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

Guess what! Sin is sin, you're a sinner, you've committed them all, will again, and you'll go crawling back to Christ on your knees because you haven't accepted salvation, His free gift. You are saved by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ, and not of works lest any man should boast. Yep, we're all sinners, and to presume to look down your judgmental nose upon me (a bi-sexual man having a relationship with Jesus Christ), well, that just reminds me of the puffed up pharisees Jesus was talking to in the 7th chapter of Mark.

Romans 3:23 says that everyone has sinned and fall short of God's standard. By sinning, it doesn't mean a believer should be the example of the true proverb: 2 Peter 2:22 "They prove the truth of this proverb: "A dog returns to its vomit." And another says, "A washed pig returns to the mud."
    • Wakko
Just great, now I'm a dog and a pig.

You can do better if you wanted to.
  • To answer this question once more: I suggest you learn it from Scripture. Jesus stated in Matthew 19:4-6 that any deviation of gay marriage does not measure up to the perfect standard of God.
  • All religions are based on faith. If you have the faith, what does it matter what any person or organization says.
  • Depends on what Christian you ask. Christians seem to believe there is ONE set of rules that ALL Christians must abide by. Most Christians, however, have a few of those rules that they cheat on. The think THEIR discreations are minor and their status as a Christian is unaffected. Those same Christians, however will deny that other people are "real Christians" because they have slightly different discretions. Being gay is just one of those discreations. Each individual "Christian" thinks they get to establish the "real rules" that ALL Christian must follow to be real Christians.
  • A person who practices homosexuality rejects God's Creation of Adam and Eve in order to support the whole Adam and Steve idea. In Matthew 7:13-14, the narrow gate is the difficult path. While the broad way are the desires of the flesh that lead to destruction.
    • Thinker
Jenny, as much as I respect you as a person it is so sad you are another of those who only accepts what the church teaches. This is why Millions now reject the love of Jesus Christ because they only hear the horrible church lies geared at obtaining indulgent money from its people. I know no amount of information I give here you will not understand what I am saying. Out of curiosity what church do you belong to?
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
I have posted in many of my religious answers that I am an SDA member. The Seventh-Day Adventists do not reject homosexuals like mainline churches who protest against them. We are nobody to condemn others. Lying, cheating and stealing is no better than homosexuals sowing to the flesh. Just like all sinners, we believe God can make a difference in people's lives.
  • If a gay gets to be Baptized in Jesus blood they are a Christian but if they don't change their ways so the world can see the change. They are in eternal danger.
  • Absolutely not. Apostle Paul said that is what some of you were, showing that they had changed their lifestyle. 1 Cor. 6:9-11: Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men will inherit God’s kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were. Regardless of such a background, if persons abandon their former unclean practices, apply God’s righteous standards, and exercise faith in his provision for forgiveness of sins through Christ, they can enjoy a clean standing before God.
  • Can murders be Christian? Can liars be Christian? Can people who work on Saturdays be Christian? Can people who swear be Christian? If you answered yes to any of those then simply apply whatever logic you used to answer to your own question.
  • I think that God Himself created them and loves them too. He alone will decide on their judgement, not us. We can really only have opinions on what we would do as mere humans.
  • In the sense that they believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Let me point out that Jesus himself doesn't say one word about homosexuality and seemed to accept people whom others considered outcasts. There are Christian churches that take this to heart and that welcome gay people.
  • You can't stay in your sins and be a Christian the whole purpose of being a Christian is to come out of your sins
