LOL. I haven't been congratulated for anything for so long I can't remember! :) Oh yeah. Better to come from a friend... the others are just sucking for points usually.
-
Well Andy! :) I'd prefer to be congratulated by somebody I actually know. Or...I just don't really see the point. I'd like somebody to actually care enough to ask. If that makes sense.
-
Being Congratulated by somebody I know definitely feels nice ...but I would certainly appreciate anybody who acknowledges my achievement :-) !
-
In a strange sort of way I feel like I know everyone on here -- or at least the "regulars", so it wouldn't matter to me who offered me congratulations. I think it's a nice gesture to do so, so I would be honored by all congratulatory answers.
-
If its a person I know, I know that person means it. Strangers do it for the points and it would be pretty obvious.
-
I prefer to be congratulated by anybody I don't know!
-
I do prefer to be congratulated by ABers I know. Otherwise I believe it is a form of 'point farming'.
-
Congratulations are nice from anyone, but coming from someone I know makes it more special, and more sincere.
-
It definitely means more coming from someone who knows me. Strangers are welcome to throw in their 2 cents though, it's still greatly appreciated. Good question, Andy!

Before I answer let me go to the polls and check my most recent AB approval ratings...Hummmm...about the same as some of our current political leaders. To be congratulated by someone I know would seem more sincere than hearing it from ________ (insert best estimate here) members on a public website.
-
Its nice to hear from anyone, but I only congratulate the people I know.
-
I don't see why I would ever get congratulated, but if I did i would prefer it to be from someone that I know. When I say "know", I mean someone that I've emailed with or that I've gotten along with through comments or whatever.
