I guess some sort of remorse or something like that. I haven't heard him admit any wrongdoing (even though it's obvious that his policies aren't perfect).
-
I doubt if he gives a rat's a** about gaining your respect. He'll soon be retired and counting his money.
-
Yes. "I resign, as I have mucked up the economy and our status in the world completely."
-
Admit his mistakes and lies and then resign. Not that he has much longer...
-
I'm sorry.
-
The only thing he could do is admit his MANY mistakes and failings of his administration since the beginning. But he is one stubborn SOB and will never admit that!!

talk is cheap i need to see action!!!!

not say really, but let us kick him in the nads for every tear shed over a loss of a good American in the name of his warmongering.

No, not in my opinion.

"I'm sorry"...said in time to Brenda Lee in the background.

I think there is little he can do himself to raise his approvals. He now must rely on how history views him. If Iraq and Afghanistan (particularly Iraq) turn out reasonably well down the road, history will be kind to him. If not, then he will be seen as a failed president. However, even with that specific formula, I do not believe that he will go down in history as the worst president. It wouldn't be the first time in history that we waged an unpopular war, and when that is factored in at least some historians will give him credit for placing his mark on a host of other issues. In addition, they will give him credit for being the first president to win re-election after losing the popular vote the first time around.
