  • About 65 million years ago, many species went extinct. This included, but was not limited to, all non-avian dinosaurs. Today's birds are very close relatives to the surviving avian dinosaurs. The large number of species that went extinct is called the K-T extinction event. There are a number of theories around the causes of the K-T. Most center around an asteroid impact, increased volcanic activity, and/or an increase of exposed seafloor. Any or all of these events would have had the greatest impact on larger creatures, like dinosaurs, more than the very small mammals that existed at the time.
  • I think God might have made it that way, because dinosaurs and humans may not have been/be able to co-exist in a peaceful manner.
