I am Mr. Fix It in our house, but an getting tired of installing floors, painting, replacing fixtures etc. So I've finally told my wife that we are contracting out a lot of that. The concept of getting home from work and having to rewire this, or replace the floor (etc) on the weekend is getting old.

I am simultaneously Ms. Fix-it and Ms. Break-it. It's a talent, really.
-
I can do some things around the house (paint, caulk and sand), but for most stuff I am a checkbook handyman.

Mr. Fix it and the more years that go by the more I realize that is why my wife married me :)

I don't fix things, I pick them up. Apparently, everyone in my home has a bad back.
