You could always go to your local library and use their computer/internet.

Run AB on battery via wireless See a movie Catch up on errands, magazines, snail mail. Read a book sort/ Organize/ clean / redo. Volunteer somewhere for the day.

I'd go to my sisters house, she lives in Deltona, which is only 90 minutes away.

Take a shower the night before (while there is still hot water). Then that day I would go hike somewhere and have a picnic. Or I would go catch a movie. Or read a book by oil lamp.

I would try to plan to be out. . No electricity=No fun. :P

Freak the hell out. Symbeline needs her electricity. I swear if that ever happens, they better have some damn good handcuffs and tasers.

Test out my wind generator and solar panel. Might not be fully functional, but it should give a bit of functionality.

My electricity was off for four days last year when we had an ice storm. I just tried to keep warm.

I would go to a place with electricity like a family members house and stick it to the man!

I would loot the neighbors! Maybe start a riot or light things on fire...the standard stuff.

I've actually had this happen a couple of times without notice...we lived in an area that power outages were the norm. Basically it entailed LOTS of board games and reading, with some periodic naps in between :)

I'd catch up on my sleep. If the power was still out after that then I'd go to my wife's house and cruise AB from there. If this happened during the summer then I'd head out for my wife's as soon as the power was turned off and catch up on my sleep there. Why are they turning off your power, Giraffelicious? ;)

Take me and my laptop to my son's house; go out to the van and run the motor so I can plug into the electricity inverter we use on long trips; go to a local Internet Cafe, or Flying J truck stop.

i would read and charge my iPod before the power went off.

Buy a 500 watt invertor from Sam's Club for $30 and hook it up to a car battery and then plug the computooter into the inverter.

call the electric company and bitch cause the power is out and I can't do AB.. and then I guess I will go to bed and bitch at the dog cause I can't sleep and nothing else to do.

I guess the first thing would be to call the utility company and find out what the hell is going on. Depending on how that conversation goes, I'll probably end up in bed until the crisis passes.

Read and listen to the radio. One year when I lived in Smyrna Georgia, an ice storm took out the power for most of the day. I read and listened to my batter powered radio. I took a shower by flashlight. You might try candle light.
