Gingivitis, or worse, Periodontitis. I'd be checking with a dentist if I were you. Periodontitis can lead to bone loss in your jaw, and then your teeth fall out. Not pretty.

If it is just your top row of teeth, that can be caused by sinus pressure.

Could be a number of things, gum disease, cavities,or possibly caused by grinding/nashing your teeth. you could also have too many teeth. You should talk to your dentist if it lingers.

I have had a cold virus that left my whole mouth aching. I thought I had some dental issues, but it was simply a viral side effect.

Mine has always been due to sinus problems but your dentist will figure it out. You shouldn't have to deal with that kind of pain.

there are a number of gum diseases that can do this...however even a toothache in a specific tooth can lead to a lot of non specific pain because of the large number of nerves in the area...You may well have a problem in one area but feel it everywhere or somewhere else (referred pain) entirely.
