Years ago I was an electrician in Michigan and there was a museum in Grand Rapids. They had an underground "town" called "The Gaslight village" It was a dark underground main street complete with stores buildings and small houses. It always appeared to be night there because it was underground and was light by "gaslights" hence the name Gaslight village. They even had old buggies and things like that on the street and all the buildings were stocked with Victorian era furniture mannequins and merchandise. I got a job rewiring some of the internal lighting in some of the old buildings but had to work at night while the museum was closed. It was eerie being in an exact replica of an 1890's town that was dark and spooky working alone all night but it was also very cool. I wanted to live there by the time I was done working. One of the neatest places I ever worked. I was there for two weeks. That was many years ago and I hope it's still there because it was really cool. I haven't been back to Michigan in over 25 years so I don't know if it is still there or not.

I had a job interview in Auckland NZ. I've made several trips to an airbase outside of Vegas for work. I did a computer install in a Vegas casino a few stories underground. I've had the fortune/misfortune to do a lot of work travel. The coldest was Fairbanks Alaska in January at 23 below zero at noon.
