  • Not all, when I'm really sick I refuse to go to the hospital simply because I'd rather get better on my own. If i'm sick I'll get up and act as if i'm not sick at all. So with that being said, I don't think men are bigger babies.
  • I'm a big baby when I get sick, but I suck it up and do what I have to do. I can't afford to be a big baby these days =/.
  • That has been my experience with men in the past. I don't have vast knowledge on this, but from what I can see, they are.
  • Most men are, so I hear. But my husband isn't at all. He just wants to sleep and get better. I'm the one who needs attention and a drink, another pillow, and I pout about being sick and I don't want to stay in bed.
  • G'day Justwonder, Thanks for your question. It depends on the man. Quite often, men are reluctant to seek treatment and are stoic while women are more sensible. I am in the stoic category myself. Mind you, I don't know how I'd cope with giving birth. Regards
  • Most men seem to be and my husband was a bit like that until he became terminally ill and then he was so brave and stoic it was incredible. I think maybe that is why I did not realise just how bad the situation was. He was fantastic about looking after me when I was sick which I was for quite a time.
  • I think it differs from man to man (well, actually, person to person.) My husband would rather be left alone when he is sick. It took me awhile to get used to that. I wanted to give him soup, fluff the covers and pillows, etc., but he just wanted to be left alone entirely. I've heard of other men, though, who can be babies about a tiny scrape or bruise. ;-)
  • ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!
  • My SO is not a baby at all. He just gets on with it and tries to get better. I am the bigger baby when it comes to getting sick (looks ashamed).
  • not in my experience. I for one wont call off work unless Im flatlining, if one or more of us is sick, we just cuddle up, and deal with it lol, go to sleep, get up and go to work.
  • YES!!!!!!!! I think it's because they don't know where anything is, like aspirin, or the kitchen!LOL
  • Through what i have observed, it seems so. But maybe it has to do with the fact that women are made to endure pain. Even without pregnancy, there's that monthly curse that too often feels like the stomach flu.
  • My husband is a HUGE baby when he is ill... but I swear he could cut off his own LEG and pull an "it's just a flesh wound!" on me. I'm the opposite. I could be sick as a dog, vomiting and dying, and refuse all treatment... but I'm a weenie when it comes to most physical pain.
