Consider I just turned a lighter on right under my arm, perhaps.
-
no way! i'm sane
-
I was. 3 times in 2 years accompanied by that electro-shock s**t.
-
Yeah you could say that.
-
noooo i hope not. i will pray for those who are!
-
Hopefully not...Although I'm sure some people here will disagree with me. :P
-
How do you know I'm not already there :=P
-
Not at this time. I've learned that if you leave three bottles of squirrel blood at your front door, the men in the white coats (and Leif Garret) leave you alone.
-
Nope. I am sane and I've got the certificate to prove it!
-
They let us use the internet some days. Looks like I'm way pass my alotted time. See you tomorrow Seymour!
-
How did you know...who told you...I'm gonna kill those freaking voices!!
-
Probably. These 1000 point days on AB are making me crack up.
-
More than likely!
-
How would I know? They say crazies never know they're crazy until they find themselves around 4 cushioned walls. If it helps, Ive never seen a cushioned wall in my life.
-
No, but I was so distressed a few times that I was thinking about convincing the proper authorities that i do :)
-
Some of my relatives have been and I am grateful that so far I am considered normal mentally unless you read some of my answers on AB. :>
-
You could make the argument that I should be.... and if my parents cared enough, I think they could get me into one. I feel so special.
-
No but everyone else around me should be hahaha
-
It is not I who am crazy...it is I who am MAD!!!!...:-D... . . (skip ahead to about 6:30 into the video).... . .
-
That's what the people in the white coats said...but the men in black killed them all so I could fulfill my destiny before the voices in my head take over.
-
Been there, done that yo...
-
no one unless they are a danger to others should ever ever be put into a mental hospital, because it is only someone elses perception of what mad mental is. the people who lock "insane" people away should have a taste of their own medicine, because they have been fucked by culture for so long they can't even make a logical decision about their own freakin profession.
-
I've only been there to visit friends. The staff doesn't want me there, afraid I'll take over. Ever read or see the movie 'One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest'?
-
I should be put in a Psychiatric Ward
-
I probably should for all the things I do and believe in but I also am very faithful to the responsibilities I hold to my family so I will try to stay out of one at least until my kids are grown up.
-
Only if they catch me... again.
-
No. And I have the papers to prove it.
-
Probably but I aint doing that again..LOL :)
-
I used to think so but I am here now. Off all meds. No suicide. No depression. Life is good.
-
I do sometimes wonder !!
-
did my wife put you up to asking that question? while i sort of ask the above question seriously, let me change the subject for a moment. if i'm really sad, doing things without thinking about them, not sleeping for days, seeing things that others don't see or hearing things others don't hear, getting unusually suspicious ... most states now have as the criterion for admission that you have a mental illness and that, due to that mental illness, you are an imminent danger to yourself or others. if you're asking the question, then i wonder if you're posing the question as an intellectual exercise or if you feel that you might be in some risk? mental hospitals of the 21st century aren't the kinds of places that they were back in the days of the movies, "one flew over the coo-coo's nest" or "chatahoochee". they tend to be clean, respectful, well staffed. they're great for giving physicians a clear sense of what you're experiencing (e.g., 40 minutes every other week outpatient or, through nurses and orderlie's reports, 24 / 7) the best medicines can usually be decided upon and treatment can begin immediately and, thanks to mis-managed health care, the average hospital stay, while it probably used to be around 2 years, is now about 5 days. best wishes!!!
-
NO! But I do know people who would dearly love to see me put inside again. I have made my veiws known to them, but all they do is chase me as though I am going to commit some kind of vicious act against those who were really cruel to me
-
Nope, I'm certifiably sane.

I wish I had the guts to let go, go fully over the edge and get myself into one. Life would be much simpler
-
Not today. I'm off work.:)
-
I have been... I don't suggest it. It doesn't help. I compare them to prison, where you actually go in to become reformed and end up coming out far worse than you did when you went in to begin with. Most of the drugs they try to give you are to keep you complacent and shut you up long enough to be managable. They shouldn't prescribe things when the label itself says, and I quote... "It is not known how this medication works or why." Although some people need medication because of their own oral fixations that they equate taking something with feeling better, Therapy actually works!
-
No.
-
Shouldn't we all?
-
Yea I should.
-
Give me some time!
-
i was in one for two years, and nothing really changed the whole time. so either i shouldnt have been put there in the first place, or i should still be there now :S i guess they gave up.
-
I probobly should be. people are just too used to how i act so they think nothing of it. only my best friend knows how truely screwed up i am.
-
They tried to diagnose me with ADD. Morons. I was suffering from a lot of things, but I had to find out by myself I am an indigo child. Sensitive to all kinds of things. Too bad psychiatrists do not accept these ideas yet.
-
Probably.
-
I AM in a mental hospital!!!!!
-
i dont think so they kept letting me out.
-
According to some, absolutely. But I'm sane - I swear ;)
-
Some times,yes!
