  • I'm pretty sure most of its popularity originated from the catchy OP, and the fact that it parodies The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (along with several other things) constantly throughout the show. I've heard that Lucky Star's humor doesn't really appeal to many, but the few that it does appeal to (like me) find the show to be hilarious and charming, and one of the best slice-of-life series ever made. It's just a matter of taste and sense of humor.
