  • I think the average height of the first level of a building is 10 feet, but I am not 100% sure of that.
  • 10 feet is NOT what OSHA says. Here is one link you can check out: http://www.osha.gov/Publications/osha3146.pdf This link sets the standard for requiring some type of fall protection at 6 feet, not 10. You can google "OSHA, fall protection" for htis and other sources. Chapter 2 in the link I provided gives some explaination.
