• We have used a tax program for several years and it is a good option for self employed like myself. The programs we used are good for catching mistakes and finding deductions we may have overlooked.
  • I suggest you to buy it. You'll be paying for something that has been revised enough to be put on sale. If you use the online ones, you might get wrong calculations. You get what you pay for. And what have payed for the free online one? Nothing. ---Except the internet provider bill---
  • It depends on the complexity of your situation. If you simply have a W-2 from your employer, a statement of interest income from your bank, want to take the standard deduction, and don't have any other complicating factors, the online option will work just fine. If you want to itemize deductions, have self-employment income, or have other more complicated factors, the tax software may be a good investment.
  • I've had no problems using turbo tax on line.
  • Both are great solutions. I used the online option with TurboTax.
