Famously, Prince Hamlet of Denmark was supposed to have avenged his murdered father by killing his murderous uncle, Claudius. He wavered. His indecision led, directly or indirectly, to the deaths of his school companions Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, his mother Gertrude, also Polonius, Ophelia, and Laertes, and to his own death - he dies right after he finally kills Claudius. Did I leave anybody out?
