Now that ladies have the generic Ms, Miss & Mrs, what about married guys? How do we get a salutation for that? What would be a good one? Who makes these rules?

How about un-married guys to be called Mr. and married guys The Master.

G'day Primetap.com Thank you for your question. You could have Mister for adult males and Master for younger males. The abbreviations should be Mr and Mas. However, personally I like things the way they are for men. Regards

well, ms. is the only non-offensive or "generic" one. it's the equlivalent to mr., as marital status is not revealed based upon title. miss & mrs. are quite different from mr., as mr. encompasses all men & does not reflect marital status. i think some on here really had no clue about the differences before posting or responding.
