  • I love to read. I buy alot of my books. I go to the library as often as I can, but I usually don't have time.
  • G'day FauxLo, Thank you for your question. I still like to read books but I generally don't have time other than during holidays. Regards
  • I like to read but it has to be my kinda teen sad romance storie...Like anything by Lurlene McDaniel i will read..I go to the bookstore and buy them..I like to read Magazines too
  • I do quite enjoy reading books. I have recently read "In a Sunburned Country", "Train Go Sorry", and "In Cold Blood". I'm currently working on "Atlas Shrugged" and I soon plan to read "The Hours" and the collection "Interpreter of Maladies". I usually buy books. I really enjoy owning a copy of them. I do not watch that much television, but I do also do a lot of reading online.
  • I love books ~ to read them, to collect them, and to refer back to them. I went to the library today but I buy more than half the books I read.
  • Books are my crack. If I am almost done with a book, and I have nothing "on deck" to read next, I seriously panic. Really. Sweaty, itchy, jonesing panic. Never believe me if I tell you I'm just going to run into Barnes and Noble for a "second" It is a Blatant Lie. I will be there for an hour, if not longer. and I will be the annoying person popping a squat in the middle of the aisle reading a book I'm going to end up buying anyway. Sorry in advance.
  • I read constantly..5 or 6 books at a time.
  • I read (and own) lots of books. I buy them mainly. I see lots of people reading on the train as I go to work. But remember that we are very privileged - we can read. What percentage of the population of the Western World could read 150 years ago? We produce and read more books now than at any other point in human history.
  • I've always liked to read. I just wish I was a speed-reader so I could read more. My daughter loves to read, I think her friends don't read. The library in our town is too small. We do go to book stores at least twice a month.
  • I Read CONSTANTLY I have next to my bed right now: Dune Robert Aspirin's MYTH series (the first nine books) Michael Moorcock's Elric of Melniboné saga The Phantom Tollbooth (that book is DARLING, I don't care how old you get) The Languages of Tolkien's Middle Earth and What to Expect When You're Expecting I read them all here and there... mostly the what to expect and Dune at the moment. And I buy most of my books either at Borders (I should own stock) or in mass lots on eBay. My house looks like a used bookstore exploded.
  • I love to read, and still do a lot. I'm always on the lookout for some new books in some series by certain authors, and I'm devastated that the third Frankenstein book by Dean Koontz hasn't appeared yet!
  • I read constantly, many books, mags, everything. I usually 3-5 books sprinkled around on different subjects and different stories, in the house and car, my purse. I feel empty without knowing what I will read next. I can spend the whole day at Barnes and Noble and still find books to buy the next visit. And shop for them used at Amazon and eBay. To combine a great book AND a bargain is hitting the jackpot. My husband came home from a relative he helped move and the whole back of our Forester is FULL of old old books! Turn of the century to early 50s. It's like a goldmine!!!! Hundreds of them:-)
  • I adore reading. I'll read almost any book, but I can only read one at a time. I also read magizenes which are fun. I go to bookstores to buy books. I like having them so I can pass them on or read them again and again. For some reason I can't stand the fact that other people have touched the book...
  • I LOVE reading!
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE ect to read. Especialy fantasy they are great!!! I spend almost all my time reading!
  • I love to read! However, ever since I got my PDA, I've been reading eBooks from that rather than buying printed books.
  • i'm an avid reader...my whole family was growing up..my mom is known as the "book grandma" because she only gives books for gifts. i go broke buying books, we tend to trade books we've read in our family..so there are always new books coming in that way.i love all genres!
  • In my family, books are an addiction; we admit it openly! Now, its my children that drag me to the local Chapters bookstore. We go to the library, too. In fact, one of my children just started to volunteer at our local library in the children's book section. (Hurray! Proof positive that we've done more than something right!)
  • Don't like to read, because I'm not a very fast reader and don't remember much of what I read anyway. If it's too complicated I just don't bother.
  • I will read almost anything. My book collection has gotten so large that I had to get a storage building just to catch the overflow. I do not EVER get rid of a book.Bookstores;used and new, garage sales, library sales, flea markets, I try to always hit them to see what books others are getting rid of so my mountain can grow
  • try asking google.
  • I read, but not as frequently as I used to. I don't really have a problem with that. The internet provides a lot of useful information.
  • Nothing takes the place of reading. Power browsing is like skimming over the facts. Reading is far more involved. You can't power read a lot of information that you can absorb by reading. Please don't let this become a outmoded activity. We are in enough trouble with our educational system here as it is.
  • I read often and by the number of books that are still be publihed I would say others do also. I have noticed a generational change in that I don't think the same percentage of younger people do and often when they do not in the same format. +5
  • I frigging read, Dammit! The internet just has repetitions of the same lame crap read in the mornign paper. Nothing new there. AND, I try not to read crap, unless it's really good, fun and juicy crap, which I haven't seen since the likes of Jackie Collins.
  • I have stared now I read, but not as much as I should.
  • i used to hate reading, but lately i like to read. i read books about things that NEVER happen to me. Romance & Drama novels, Horror stories, and i really like to read about important facts that i should know, like those "Did you know..." kind of books!
  • I love to read. I go to the library at least once a week, sometimes to the used book store. I also read on line a bit and watch tv and movies. I even bought a Kindle 3 months ago. I do see quite a few people with books, kindles, magazines and newspapers, even now.
  • yeah i like to watch movies and tv that sorta of stuff, but i also love reading i find that a book opens up a whole new world for you
  • I'll have 5 books open at a time - one in each room. I don't know why, but the one in the bathroom gets finished first. =P
    • Thinker
I do much the same but do so on my tablet. I can carry many books with me and at a touch of my finger I can draw up one of several books I am reading depending on my desires for the day.
  • I love to read! My understanding is that there's been a slight decrease in reading since the Internet came into play, but many people still love books. Millennials are actually very avid library users (and I'm one of them). I always get my books from the library, and I read about 350 a year (no joke).
  • sonnetinnes but i tend to go online nnore
  • The only books I ever read where comics books, racing and horror magazines.I do not like reading books.Never did.
  • I read books online now. And I'm reading more than I used to. I think that's mostly because I have a lot more time now than I used to.
  • I just picked up "12 Rules for Life" by Jordan Peterson. I have tons of books. Always been a reader. Mainly because when I was a kid, I was always grounded and never allowed to do anything but read. I guess it stuck.
  • I didn't enjoy reading until I was in university. I love to read now but very selective in what I read. I like history books the most. Mainly USA, Canadian, and Mexico. I also enjoy reading most of the lost books of the Bible. These histories have brought the Bible to life. There is so much more to the lives of the people in the Bible than what is given in the Bible alone. Most all those books are on line but I have found most all of them are on Amazon for very little cost if I put them on my tablet.
  • People aren't "in to" reading as they like to watch everything in a video or movie instead.
