  • Nill, nothing! It's about time religion in this world ends, as more and more people die due to so called religion. Most if not all wars are started by some religious reason. Get rid of religion, then and only then, may the world live in peace.
  • We are God's children spiritually. That is, He is the father of our spirits. Jesus was also physically His child. Somehow, the exact mechanism by which this was accomplished has not been revealed, the Father actually impregnated Mary so that Jesus actually was deity clothed in a mortal body. So, He was both mortal and divine.
  • We are Gods creation not his children. Jesus Christ was the son of God.
  • From a Biblical perspective, all of us, God's children, have rebelled against our Maker. Jesus, unlike us, is the faithful Son. He lived the perfect life we failed to live, and He died the death we deserved to die. When the Bible calls Jesus the Son of God, it can be referring to His divinity, or the idea that He is the annointed promised King in King David's line who would rule the world, rescue God's people and judge (i.e Messiah).
  • Jesus is the good one that covers for us so we don't get in trouble
  • He was his favorite son I suppose.
  • this question is a simple one, it isn't deep or profound, and so has a simple answer. we are God's adopted children "but now i am your son i am adopted in you family" jesus is actually God's son so is better we also dont have the power of God to command we have to ask and frank peter's it isn't religion that causes the wars almost all of the religion preach peace it is the misguided people who think they are doing God's will if people wern't so stupid wars wouldn't happen
  • He's the favorite child.
  • He died for humanity's sins and was the primary example of what a follower of God should be, which therefore does, or should, symbolize him as motivation for Christians.
  • We're not all God's children. You do not become a child of Yahweh God until you are born-again (Accept Jesus as Savior). Once you are born-again, it is then that you are adopted into the family of God. Jesus is special because He is the only "begotten" Son of God. He is the first of the family of Yahweh God.
  • Jesus was God. He was the savior. Not everybody is a savior. Jesus died for your sins and made a way for you to go to heaven if you accept him in you heart. That is all you have to do. Every answer you want is in the Bible. Just read it, like most people dont do now days.
  • He was & is God's only "begotten" Son. The sinless Lamb of God.
  • He's god's test-tube baby, remember? That's what's so special about him
  • jesus sucks
  • My interpretation is that we're all children of God, and Jesus is kind of like the big brother. He was the first child of god, and the role model for all others.
  • Nothing. Just a Jewish tradesman from Nazareth who had a few good sayings and was then killed by a sanctioned lynch-mob. +5
  • We are "all GOD's children" only in the context that He created all mankind. We only truly become His children when we come to a point where we realize that we are burdened with sin and humble ourselves to ask His forgiveness and acknowledge Him as Savior. Regarding what IS so special about Jesus is that his invitation is FREE - no strings attached! - to all men.
  • There are no gods, most likely no Jesus either.
  • Good to see an answer from Glenn on this Q. Yes; 'Our Father who art in Heaven' was, literally, the Father of our spirits in Heaven - before we were born of earthly parents down here. Jesus, on the other hand, was the Only Begotten of the Father in the flesh. As such, He inherited the power (from Mary) to literally lay down His life and inherited the power, from God the Father, to take it up again.
  • jesus is god in the flesh
    • Mr PantsFellDown
I dont think it's healthy for Jesus to be thinking about his father's flesh. Just sayin'
  • You first mistake is thinking we are God's children. Not every one is.
  • He was hung like King Kong.
  • Jesus was the greatest man who ever lived. The reference work The Historians’ History of the World observed: “The historical result of [Jesus’] activities was more momentous, even from a strictly secular standpoint, than the deeds of any other character of history. A new era, recognised by the chief civilisations of the world, dates from his birth.” See this nice article: http://www.watchtower.org/e/200612/article_01.htm
    • Mr PantsFellDown
When you say "greatest historical result" you're of course counting burning 1.5 million women as witches, and a hurrendous # of cats, and all the crusading and torturing of jews and other non-believers, and painting the christian symbol like a swastika on shields to scare the enemy, and invading Iraq while asking "God" to bless America" ? and all that rubbish? You know, like asking for Gods help in killing every last living Tazmanian? In enslaving people and extinguishing them just to be in charge because THEY have to believe in YOUR violent ass god too, or else you'll KILL them, because gods into that??? --------
  • Jesus hacked into God's server and gained superpowers. God found out, got mad, kick-banned him and patched the server. And now everyone is "saved" from attacks by hackers.
  • cause he was the son of god
  • Jesus Christ is special because He came to take our sin (not sins) for those whom believe in him. There is much to this but I have given a beginning. What sin you ask. The sin of disobedience. All sins are the result of disobedience to the Word of the Bible, The Law of Love.
  • What's so special is that Jesus is the express image of the Father. Hebrews 1:3 "Who being the brightness of His glory, and the [express image] of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" In other words, Jesus resembles the original, as the impress of a seal resembles the figure engraved upon the seal.
